إحياءً للذكرى الثانية والسبعين (72) لاندلاع ثورة أول نوفمبر 1954 المجيدة، نظمت القنصلية العامة للجزائر بنيويورك احتفالية رمزية بهذه المناسبة الوطنية الخالدة، تميزت برفع العلم الوطني على أنغام النشيد الوطني، عند منتصف الليل، تلتها قراءة فاتحة الكتاب ترحماً على أرواح شهدائنا الأبرار.
كما ألقى السيد القنصل العام كلمة بالمناسبة، بحضور جمع من أفراد الجالية الوطنية المقيمة بمدينة نيويورك، استحضر فيها دلالات هذه الذكرى المجيدة وما تحمله من قيم التضحية والوفاء والوطنية، مؤكداً أهمية الحفاظ على الذاكرة الوطنية ونقل رسالة نوفمبر الخالدة إلى الأجيال الصاعدة.
عاشت الجزائر حرة أبية، والمجد والخلود لشهدائنا الأبرار
On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Algerian Revolution of November 1, 1954, the Consulate General of Algeria in New York held a commemorative ceremony to mark this historic national occasion.
The ceremony featured the raising of the Algerian national flag at midnight, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in tribute to the souls of our righteous martyrs.
The Consul General also delivered an address highlighting the historical significance of this glorious anniversary, recalling the sacrifices of the Algerian people in their struggle for freedom and independence, and emphasizing the importance of preserving our national memory and passing on the values and legacy of November 1st to future generations.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Algerian community residing in New York, who gathered to honor this historic milestone and reaffirm their attachment to their homeland.
