تُحيي القنصلية العامة للجزائر بنيويورك ذكرى مظاهرات 11 ديسمبر 1960، التي كانت علامة فارقة في مسيرة كفاح الشعب الجزائري من أجل الحرية والاستقلال.
هذه المناسبة تُذكّرنا ببطولات شعبنا الذي رفع صوته عاليًا في وجه الاستعمار، مطالبًا بحقه المشروع في تقرير المصير واستعادة السيادة الوطنية. لقد برهنت هذه المظاهرات على الوحدة الوطنية والتمسك بالهوية الجزائرية، وكانت رسالة قوية للعالم أجمع تُظهر عزم الجزائريين على نيل استقلالهم.
نستذكر اليوم بكل فخر واعتزاز تضحيات الشهداء والمجاهدين الذين مهّدوا الطريق لتحقيق استقلال الجزائر، وندعو الجميع، داخل الوطن وخارجه، إلى استلهام قيم التضامن والوحدة التي جسدها أبطال 11 ديسمبر في مسيرتنا نحو بناء جزائر قوية ومستقلة.

The Consulate General of Algeria in New York commemorates the anniversary of the December 11, 1960 demonstrations, a pivotal moment in the Algerian people’s struggle for freedom and independence.
This occasion reminds us of the bravery of our people, who raised their voices against colonialism and demanded their legitimate right to self-determination and the restoration of national sovereignty. These demonstrations showcased the unity of our nation and the unwavering commitment to Algerian identity, sending a powerful message to the world about the determination of Algerians to achieve independence.
Today, we proudly and gratefully honor the sacrifices of the martyrs and freedom fighters who paved the way for Algeria’s independence. We call upon everyone, both at home and abroad, to draw inspiration from the values of solidarity and unity exemplified by the heroes of December 11 in our ongoing efforts to build a strong and independent Algeria.
