Mr. Attaf participates in the high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly dedicated to commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, participated Monday in New York in the high-level plenary session of the General Assembly, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations Organization, and this, in his capacity as representative of Algeria at the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly.
This high-level session provided an opportunity to review the achievements the UN has made over the past eight decades, particularly in peace, security, development and human rights. It also highlighted the growing challenges facing the world and renewed commitment to the principles and objectives of the UN Charter in order to establish a more inclusive and effective multilateral system.

في إطار تمثيله للجزائر في أشغال الشق رفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة للأمم المُتحدة، شارك وزير الدولة، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والجالية الوطنية بالخارج والشؤون الإفريقية، السيّد أحمد عطاف، اليوم بنيويورك، في الجلسة العامة رفيعة المستوى للجمعية العامة المُخصصة لإحياء الذكرى الثمانين لتأسيس مُنظمة الأمم المتحدة.
سمحت هذه الجلسة رفيعة المستوى باستعراض المكاسب التي حققتها منظمة الأمم المتحدّة خلال العقود الثمانية الماضية، لاسيما في مجالات السلم والأمن والتنمية وحقوق الإنسان، مثلما شكلت فرصة لتسليط الضوء على التحديات المتعاظمة التي يُواجهها العالم وتجديد الالتزام بمبادئ ومقاصد ميثاق الأمم المتحدّة سعيا نحو إرساء منظومة مُتعددة الأطراف أكثر شمولًا وفعّالية.
