Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Algeria expresses its condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran — an aggression that would not have occurred were it not for the impunity, lack of accountability, and absence of consequences enjoyed by the aggressor.

This aggression, which violates all international laws — foremost among them the principles of the United Nations Charter — confirms the systematic, aggressive policy of the Israeli settler occupation, a policy based on the illusion of guaranteeing its own security and stability at the expense of the security and stability of its neighbors, starting with the Palestinians across all their occupied territories and extending to all neighboring countries without exception.

Algeria, while warning against the dangers of condoning the arrogance and tyranny of the Israeli occupation, calls upon the international community — particularly the United Nations Security Council — to assume its full responsibilities in working to protect international peace and security, and to put an end to the policies of the Israeli occupation that undermine the security and stability of the entire region.
