نظمت القنصلية العامة للجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية بنيويورك، يوم الثلاثاء 27 ماي 2025، حفلًا تكريميًا مميزًا على شرف الباحثة الجزائرية الدكتورة مريم مراد، عرفانًا وتقديرًا لمسيرتها العلمية اللامعة وإسهاماتها القيمة في مجال البحث العلمي على الصعيد الدولي.
ويأتي هذا التكريم في إطار حرص القنصلية على تسليط الضوء على الكفاءات الجزائرية التي ترفع راية الوطن عاليًا خارج حدوده، وتعكس بصورة مشرفة روح الاجتهاد والتميز التي يتحلى بها أبناء الجزائر في المهجر.
في كلمته، أثنى السيد القنصل العام على الدكتورة مريم مراد معتبرا إياها نموذجًا مُلهمًا للعالِم الجزائري المتألق في أرقى المؤسسات الأكاديمية، حيث ساهمت أبحاثها وإسهاماتها العلمية في تعزيز صورة الجزائر كبلد زاخر بالطاقات والمواهب.كما عبّر عن فخره واعتزازه بهذه القامة وما حققته من انجازات في الميدان الطبي داعيا إياها إلى المشاركة في جهود الدولة في ترقية البحث العلمي.
شهد الحفل، الذي أقيم في جوّ احتفالي، حضور عدد من أفراد جاليتنا لاسيما الشخصيات الأكاديمية.
وإذ تؤكد القنصلية العامة من خلال هذا الحدث التزامها الدائم بمرافقة ودعم الكفاءات الجزائرية في الخارج، وحرصها على بناء جسور التواصل معها، باعتبارها ثروة وطنية حقيقية ومصدر فخر لكل الجزائريين.
The Consulate General of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in New York organized a special honorary ceremony on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in tribute to Algerian researcher Dr. Meriem Merad, in recognition and appreciation of her outstanding academic career and valuable contributions to scientific research on an international level.
This tribute reflects the consulate’s commitment to highlighting Algerian talents who raise the national flag high beyond the country’s borders, showcasing the spirit of diligence and excellence that characterizes Algerians abroad.
In his speech, the Consul General praised Dr. Meriem Merad, describing her as an inspiring example of a distinguished Algerian scientist working in some of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions. He noted that her research and scientific contributions have helped promote the image of Algeria as a country rich in talent and potential. He also expressed pride in her achievements in the medical field and called on her to participate in the country’s efforts to advance scientific research.
The ceremony, held in a festive atmosphere, was attended by members of the Algerian community, especially figures from the academic sphere.
