Dear compatriots and friends
I have the pleasure to extend to each of you my warmest greetings on the occasion of my appointment as a new Consul General of Algeria.
It is a privilege for me and a challenge to fulfill this mission that covers such a large and diverse district which includes 44 states in America.
My duty is to ensure that the Consulate General provides consular services with utmost efficiency and transparency and serve as a bridge between Algerian citizens and motherland enabling them to follow and contribute to the Algerian development. It is our aspiration also that the Consulate General and the Consulate website serve as a window to promote friendly relations of cooperation with our American friends.
I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as well as associations that represent you through exchanges and visits. This site allows us to interact. Do not hesitate to contact us to let us know your concerns and suggestions.
As you may know the conversion of passports before the deadline of 23 November 2015, is an important operation that will continue at a steady pace in the coming months. I take this opportunity to appeal to all those who have not taken this step and those whose records are not complete to finalize their data collection process. This procedure determines the move of the mobile station.
Last but not least, I pay tribute to my predecessor M. Sidi Abed for the work done since the opening of the Consulate General in New York in 2011. This work was made possible through the efforts within the Consulate by all staff to reserve a warm welcome and ensure an efficient service to meet your needs.
I wish you all the best.
Consul General of Algeria in New York
