Due to the forthcoming moving of the Consulate General services to the new offices and the departures on vacation, the Biometric Passport Mobile Station will resume in September 2015. After California and Texas, Illinois, Colorado and Florida States will be the next steps. Dates and locations will be announced in due course.
We urge our citizens living in Illinois, Colorado, Florida and in neighboring States to mail their well-documented applications as soon as possible.
Due to the forthcoming moving of consular services to the new offices, nationals whose biometric passports are ready are kindly requested to make arrangements to pick their passports up as soon as possible.
November 24, 2015, is the deadline set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the transition to biometric passports. This effectively means that all non-machine readable passports should be out of circulation by 24 November 2015.
To comply with this regulation, we urge our nationals to apply as soon as possible for a biometric passport.
Appointments may be made by email at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org and in order to avoid unnecessary waiting time, biometric passport forms available on the site must be filled out and sufficiently indicated before the arrival at the consulate. This will allow a diligent processing of your application and significantly reduce your lap time.
The Consulate General Representatives will be carrying out the first Biometric Mobile Station in California more likely by the end of April 2015. San Francisco Bay Area and the South Bay will be served. Arrangements are being made to set the dates and the locations for these events.
Algerian nationals who submitted their applications by mail and received a status confirmation through the Website Online Mandatory Form will be updated on the date, location and time slot. Other applicants whose status doesn’t show any progress will be posted soon.
To enable us prepare the organizational aspects, the Consulate General is obliged to set April 20th as the deadline for processing submitted applications. Applications received after April 20 will not be included in this operation. Current pending applications not completed on April 20 will neither be included.
It is important to note that applicants who reside in other States can upon their request be included in California’s operation provided that they have already mailed their biometric passport applications and have received confirmation that their files meet the requirements. This request must be made by email to email@example.com
We urge our nationals to ensure that their biometric passport applications meet the requirements and that pending applications be completed as soon as possible, in order to allow us to accelerate the implementation of the mobile station program.
